WDG | Architects Engineers is located less than 15 miles from the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base located in Belle Chasse, LA. WDG has teamed with several general contractors over the past 5+ years to provide architectural and engineering services for various projects from minor interior renovations to HVAC Chiller Replacement Projects to large-scale building renovations. These projects involved work on various building types including administration
buildings, hangars, storage facilities, and central plant buildings. Each project was completed without interrupting the operations at the base while maintaining the initial schedule and budget.

WDG provided Engineering Design services for replacing the existing chillers at NASJRB
Building 41. The project included two (2) 115-ton air-cooled chillers and an associated duplex chilled water pump system. The chilled water system was designed to utilize the existing mechanical yard and connect to the existing chilled water system with minimal disruption to the building occupants and functions.

The Hanger 3 Renovations centered around developing a secure Flight Training Debrief facility. This renovation included two (2) Training Debrief Rooms, four (4) flight data review areas, an associated IT equipment room, and a break room within the secured access area. This project involved coordination with base security, access control, and other specialized systems to provide the functionality and security required for this training area.

The Building 226 Renovation consisted of the design and implantation of offices and conference room space to support the flight simulator training program. The additional offices provided better access to the flight simulator and data recording equipment. The conference spaces provided in the renovation facilitated on-site debriefing and flight data review. In addition to the additional workspaces, an emergency generator was implemented to provide backup power for the flight simulator equipment.

nas-jrb building munitions compound repairs

WDG | Architects Engineers provided Architectural and Engineering Design services to the Munitions Compounds repairs which included parking lot stripping improvements and new site lighting for parking lots serving buildings 90 and 390. Site lighting repairs for buildings 90, 390, and the munitions bunker area, which include lighting repair and replacement and a new section of light poles and bases. In coordination with our efforts, a new land survey of the area will be performed by others.
