WDG Engineers provided Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering Design services for the renovation of HEY! Cafe, located in the Broadmoor neighborhood. The corner store was previously occupied by the Old Tiger Bakery, until HEY! Cafe owners purchased the two-story mixed-use building for their new location.
 
The cafe is located on the ground floor, with three residential units occupying the rest of the building. All the interior finishes, lighting, bar, and MEP systems were designed and built to align with State Historic Tax Credit guidelines. The interior was constructed with flood-resistant materials and finishes, utilizing the removal of wood base and chair rail trim at perimeter walls to aid in minimizing any potential damage from flooding.
